During the meeting in the UK discussed the beneficial owners’ disclosure activities carried out by the Government of Armenia
On September 17, the Armenian EITI delegation met with representatives of the Open Government Partnership OGP Tonu Basu, Adna Karamehik-Oates and Selma Fisher, Senior Policy Advisor to the UK's Joint Anti-Corruption Unit (JACU). During the meeting parties discussed the beneficial owners’ disclosure activities carried out by the Government of Armenia, future actions and prospects for cooperation.
A meeting was also held with Luis Russell-Prywata, Senior Programs & Policy Manager at OpenOwnership, the Global Beneficial Ownership Register, who outlined the main areas of activities of the OpenOwnership. The participants discussed the process of establishment of the beneficial owners Register in Amenia, which will make data available to the public, as well as opportunities to provide consulting and technical support to Armenia by the OpenOwnership.
